Marta Lestau appointed as new Aviation Director of Grupo Addvalora
We are proud to announce the appointment of Marta Lestau as the Group’s new Aviation Director.
This appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter following the departure of Mario Gutiérrez. We wish to express our deepest gratitude to Mario for his dedication and the excellent work he performed over many years, and we wish him every success in his future business endeavours.
We would also like to extend our thanks to Alberto Sánchez, Director of Energy, who has led the department with reliability and professionalism during this two-month transition period.
Official presentation in Valencia
The formal announcement of this appointment took place during the Group’s recent Annual Management Meetings, held from 4th to 6th February at the Hotel Balneario Las Arenas in Valencia.
During the event, Marta Lestau was introduced to the team and the market. She also delivered a technical lecture on aviation safety and the current state of the aeronautical market, covering its evolution and regulation. Marta Lestau
An Aeronautical Engineer and Pilot, Marta is an expert in Aviation Safety and Regulation. She has over 25 years of experience in the aviation industry. During her time at AESA, she led a team of more than 350 people and was a key figure in the Agency’s launch and digital transformation. Her career is focused on promoting the sustainable growth of civil aviation, the continuous improvement of safety, and the reduction of aviation’s environmental impact. Furthermore, she has acted as Spain’s representative on the European Commission’s Air Safety Committee, was a member of the EASA Management Board, and has chaired national forums on helicopters, aerial work, and drones.
