During the event, Marta Lestau was introduced to the team and the market. She also delivered a technical lecture on aviation safety and the current state of the aeronautical market, covering its evolution and regulation. ​An Aeronautical Engineer and Pilot, Marta is an expert in Aviation Safety and Regulation. She has over 25 years of experience in the aviation industry. During her time at AESA, she led a team of more than 350 people and was a key figure in the Agency’s launch and digital transformation. Her career is focused on promoting the sustainable growth of civil aviation, the continuous improvement of safety, and the reduction of aviation’s environmental impact. Furthermore, she has acted as Spain’s representative on the European Commission’s Air Safety Committee, was a member of the EASA Management Board, and has chaired national forums on helicopters, aerial work, and drones.

Last October, the entire range of services and lines of action were reorganised, with the Board of Directors approving a Strategic Restructuring of the Group from which four major business areas emerge.

We understand that this redefinition allows for a better visualisation of the wide range of services provided by the Group, as well as a better rationalisation of our resources.

Ultimately, with this new configuration, the structure of Grupo Addvalora is consolidated into the following four areas:

LOSS ADJUSTING AND VALUATION

This is the Group’s main line, present in all countries where we operate and dedicated to the valuation/adjustment of damages and losses, both for the insurance sector and other areas (legal and judicial disputes, corporate valuations, inheritances, competition disputes…).

Over these 22 years, we have developed multidisciplinary teams and specialists capable of valuing in a vast number of fields: motor, personal injury, property, civil liability (general, professional, product, employers’, D&O), forensic accounting, cyber/telecommunications/IT, fidelity, credit and surety, engineering, construction, energy (oil & gas, wind, thermal, nuclear, solar, biomass), mining, machinery, environment, jewellery and fine art, and transport (aviation, marine and land).

Today we operate in the four regions where we have a presence: Europe, the Middle East, the United States/Canada, the Caribbean and LATAM, through our brands Addvalora Global Loss Adjusters, Aviamar and Barberá Peritaciones.

ENGINEERING

The Group currently has two engineering firms, providing a wide range of services to our clients:

Addis Ingeniería y Seguridad, which offers three major service lines:

1. Risk Engineering: inspections, fire protection system safety projects, business continuity plans.

INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION IN THE ENGINEERING AREA WITH THE CREATION OF THE SUBSIDIARY ADDIS LATAM

In parallel to this redefinition of our activities, we are pleased to announce the expansion of our engineering activity to Latin America, with the creation of the new subsidiary Addis Latam, located in Brazil.

The company commenced operations on 21 October, incorporating four engineers under the technical direction of Rafael Belem Hey, an Electrical Engineer with more than 15 years of experience in the adjustment and management of highly complex claims in industries and energy systems. Rafael is a specialist in investigations and technical evaluations of events such as fires, machinery breakdown and electrical damage, mainly in the areas of electricity production, transmission and distribution.

Addis Latam will offer the insurance market the following services: Fire and Explosion Investigation, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, covering a wide range of lines (engineering, property, natural catastrophes, general and professional civil liability, lease bonds and surety insurance).

This notice aims to inform insurers, reinsurers, and multinational companies established in the area of the resources we are making available to those who may have suffered losses.

We have activated our Natural Catastrophe Contingency Plan, setting up a special emergency team that can act immediately to carry out loss assessment and adjustment activities, with the goal of enabling a swift recovery of the insureds’ operations. We can conduct assessments remotely through our proprietary remote-adjusting tool, or on site, depending on the needs of each case.

Our teams are made up of professionals with diverse technical backgrounds and extensive experience in CAT NAT claims, drawn from our joint venture Addvalora–JMO Adjusters in Jamaica. Among our specialties—particularly relevant to the main buildings and infrastructures that may have been affected—are agriculture, energy, construction and civil works, transportation, telecommunications, tourism, among others, as well as business interruption and ALOP.

We have been involved in some of the most significant CAT NAT losses of the past two decades, especially in the Caribbean region, including fires, meteorological events, tsunamis, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, ground displacement along fault lines, hailstorms, volcanic eruptions, and hydrometeorological risks in general.

The special emergency response team is already operational in Jamaica, coordinated from our regional office in Miami, USA. By the end of this week, it will be reinforced with our resources in the USA and Latin America, with full support at all times from our headquarters in Spain.

Inmaculada es Ingeniera Industrial por la ETS de Ingenieros de Sevilla y cuenta con una destacada trayectoria de más de 20 años en la gestión de siniestros en el sector energético. Su experiencia abarca una amplia gama de tecnologías, incluyendo parques fotovoltaicos, centrales termosolares, plantas de cogeneración, biomasa, centrales hidroeléctricas y parques eólicos, en empresas del sector de la Energía y Aeroespacial. Además, posee un profundo conocimiento en la gestión de siniestros industriales, de Responsabilidad Civil y Medioambiental, incluyendo aquellos de contaminación ambiental en instalaciones termosolares.

Inmaculada inicia su segunda etapa en el Grupo, donde ya ejerció como Directora de Energía Solar entre los años 2006 y 2015, con resultados sobresalientes.

Con posterioridad ha trabajado, con similares funciones, en RTS, Fitzgerald y Ábaco.

La dirección de energía solar había sido ocupada hasta la fecha por Daniel Llobell, compatibilizando dicho puesto con la Dirección Sur (Andalucía y Canarias) y con la Dirección de Calidad del Grupo en España. La incorporación de Inmaculada permite así una doble ventaja: la dedicación full time de Inmaculada a la dirección de Energía Solar y la necesaria potenciación de la dirección de Calidad por parte de Daniel Llobell, además de atender éste también, a su responsabilidad como miembro del Consejo de Administración del Grupo.

Cuenta con más de 80 técnicos y sucursales o filiales en Colombia (donde se ubica el segundo centro productivo por importancia), en Estados Unidos, Canadá, Reino Unido, Ecuador y México. Su negocio principal está en España, seguido muy de cerca por Estados Unidos y Canadá, países en los que se basa el crecimiento futuro de la Compañía.

Su carrera se ha centrado en la gestión de riesgos y la evaluación de daños en seguros. Tiene experiencia en la gestión y tramitación de siniestros de todo riesgo, daños, transporte, responsabilidad civil, equipos electrónicos y maquinaria industrial, incluyendo inspecciones físicas a riesgos afectados por inundaciones, incendios y hurtos. Ha trabajado durante más de 20 años en Mapfre Seguros Generales de Colombia, iniciándose como perito de seguros generales, como Director Regional de Indemnizaciones en pólizas de automóviles y generales durante 8 años y liderando en la última etapa el Centro de Tramitación de siniestros sencillos e industriales. Además, ha diseñado planes de formación dirigidas a las áreas de Siniestros dentro de la compañía. Con anterioridad trabajó en Gillette como analista de Calidad.

This prestigious decoration recognises her tireless work and valuable contribution to the empowerment of businesswomen and the development of the Peruvian business sector in general.

The Medal of Honour of the Congress of the Republic of is a recognition for extraordinary merits of individuals and institutions, both national and foreign, across various fields. This award has been granted on a few occasions and in its different categories, to great personalities, including Felipe VI of Spain, Mario Vargas Llosa, Ban Ki-moon, the Peruvian National Symphony Orchestra, as well as presidents and former presidents of countries around the world, which Yolanda now joins.

In addition to her leadership at Addvalora WMoller, a company that has been in the Peruvian adjustment market for 62 years, Yolanda Torriani has an influential career in the trade association sphere. She was also the founder and is the current President of the Commission for the Development of Women Entrepreneurs of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL), also chairing the Chamber of Commerce for the period 2018-2020.
